In the bouquet of new year.............

I opened my eyes. Someone had distributed the chart sheets to everyone, for me too. When it was in my hand, I didn’t even know why it is for. I looked around. Some started drawing pictures, some were looking at the sky thinking what to be painted, some were copying from others, some were filling the color to someone else’s sketch. Also some were leaving the place after keeping their presentation on a table.

I wondered. I spread my sheet, but did not know how to sketch. My mother and father were beside me. They kept their hands on my hand and helped me to begin. Soon they encouraged me to draw on my own “Son, you're a champ. paint what you like”. It was great feeling in the begining. I continued but was losing interest gradually.

Later, one intelligent found me depressed. To bring back the enthusiasm in me, he put many black dots on my paper and said, “Join these dots, you will get a wonderful art”. I believed him and did it but finally, it couldn't satisfy me. Erased everything.

Again, a blank sheet- in front of me!

Somebody around said, “Hey! copy from someone. No matter whose picture it is, your colors will give it a life.” It sounded good.  I broadened my view & started looking many designs around me. Some were half drawn. Some were too ugly. Some were unimaginable. Some were extremely good too. But finally I ended up with nothing.

Why should I copy from someone else? Why can't I try sketching the scene in my mind? Very interesting! My imaginations started emerging & converged at my finger tips. My life, my dreams, my ambitions came out of me. My own art was looking better than any others' in the world! When I was about to give a final touch, some cruel marked big cross mark on it. I cried. There was no one to support & motivaye me except my parents. I cleared everything once again.

Again my sheet contained nothing, but some scars.

Ultimately, I could never find the person who had distributed the chart sheets. I think (in fact, everyone think) that he comes in a different gesture always, evaluates every painting, gives awards to the special ones, gives impediments for the bad ones.

I very well know that one fine day, a person will come to me and say, “I will join you. Let’s paint together. We can have a beautiful art of our life”. But I can neither trust nor expect the success.

Ohh.. Since how long am I painting? It is still incomplete. A devotee advised that it never ends for anybody. All those which are kept on table are not the complete ones. Some people keep it partial and go, some get bored and go, some think that they are called by the drawing master and go.

Whatever!! With great enthusiasm yet again, I am going to put forward something delicious on my piece of paper for the YEAR 2011!!

And I know that even you are going to do the same unknowingly!

I wish you will get such a wonderful colors and pencils which will bring the new design, new talent, new art on your paper. I wish your paint called 'LIFE' will give you all the extreame pleasures in the world.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011J

Are you an ordinary or an extra-ordinary??

This post is about the scale with which the workers are measured in corporate industry. Employers today are finding good workers. The difference between skills required on the job and those possessed by applicants is called as 'Skills-Gap'.

I read this interesting story in some Kannada article.

One HR manager of a leading hotel in India used to recruit the final semester students of many hotel management collages. He intakes 100 such people every year and puts them into the 6 months of training under his hotel's premises. Everyone gets the stipend of 3000/- per month.

But among these trained candidates, only 25 are given the job every year! Rest get the 'training completion certificate' and they are let free to find job in any other hotel. The certificate taken from this hotel validates them to get hired in any other. Fact is that the 25 people, hired here, get 25,000/- per month & have promotional offers too. Others, hired elsewhere, get only around 10,000/- per month!

After observing this, one VIP (friend of the manager) questioned him "Is this the game playing with their lucks? As per me, those 25 are the luckiest persons and other 75 are unfortunates. How do you do this? If everyone are equally trained, everyone should win. Can you clarify me?"

"This is not because of their luck factor," manager replied, "In these 6 months our trainers sensitively  observe their attitude. They finally divide them into ordinary and extraordinary trainees. We hire the extraordinary ones and send out the others with a certificate."

When he was asked on what basis they divide them into these two categories, he showed this:

Extraordinaries:
1. Find new ways to do the given work.
2. Say "I am ready to this work" anytime.
3. Look for opportunity in every problem.
4. Show self confidence always.
5. Sketch to finish the task as soon.

Ordinaries:
1. Find new reasons to escape from given work.
2. Say "I am not trained in this kind of work" anytime.
3. Look for problem in every opportunity.
4. Show doubt always.
5. Sketch to run away from the task as soon.

Think on it!!
They are such optimistic that we can decide "To which category we belong??"

My condolences to the bad luckies of 26/11

My post today is for all who are affected by the world's horrific act 'TERRORISM'.

26th November is a black day not only for people of Mumbai but also for all Indians. The inhumanity was shown by the few people who entered the city and killed innumerable people.

Terrorism has spread all over the world like burning flame. So everybody who are against it should stand up and oppose it (like USA, India and some other countries). Please keep your eyes open and stay alert.

I think our country has lost the peace and prosperity that our elders enjoyed few years back.

Let's all pay the SHRIDHDHANJALI to all the martyrs of 26/11. This condolence goes to the  counter terrorists who gave up their life for the country (Major Sandeep, Salskar, Karkare etc. etc.), the innocent people, and all those heros who went unnamed.

Lets pray for stronger and peaceful India.

Jai Hind!!

Secrets of highest paid people in the world!!

Today if you ask anyone "Who is the richest person in the world?", you will get "Bill Gates" as the quick answer. You may get some names like "Warren Buffet", "Carlos Slim", "Laxmi Mittal", "Ambani Bros." etc, if you ask them to list down. (We are proud of the Indians who entered this list)
But if you ask to name the person who is getting highest salary, you will not get the answer (Try it).
Because there are thousands of such people and no one can make out.

As per the reports, during 1900 to 2000, the highest paid employee was Charles M. Schwab (1862-1939).
He was working for one of the largest iron & steel production company United States Steel Corp.

Here comes an interesting fact about him. Once 'someone' asked his boss Andrew Carnegie (You can search for this man in wikipedia) about the payment of Mr Schwab. He replied "Schwab is not an expert in machinery. He knows how to deal with the feelings of alive human beings, the workers, instead with the dead machines. And that is the supreme knowledge that he has got".

The 'someone' didn't give up. He went directly to Mr Schwab and requested to share the secrets of his success. Five secrets put forward by the highest paid employee are these:

1. If a person working with you does a mistake, notify the mistake only to him not to everyone. And be aware that your work is not finding the mistakes of your colleagues.

2. If a person working with you does good work, appreciate it. Let everyone know and let everyone appreciate.

3. How much ever you are experienced, you can not accomplish all the works. Work in a team, divide the tasks, succeed. Then don't forget to celebrate the success.

4. You must always be enthusiastic. Only then people around you get enthusiasm. And the destination for this road is 'success'.

5. Always have pleasant smile on your face, be humorous, friendly to everyone. Things go easy.

Aren't these great??
These points hold good forever, though they are old.
Lets adapt, we may be the highest paid employees of tomorrow! If not at least 'SUCCESS' will reside in our pocket!!
